Our Story
XING is a premium Asian-fit sunglasses brand designed for low nose bridges — built so you can feel confident without compromising on fit, quality, or style.
Founder Monica is Asian-Canadian, adopted during China's one-child policy. She didn't grow up with her heritage. But she did grow up with a low nose bridge, high cheekbones, and a lifetime of sunglasses that slipped, pinched, or sat wrong on her face.
A few years ago, she splurged on an $800 Japanese pair that actually fit. She lost them two months later. She couldn't afford to replace them.
So she made a bigger bet. Monica dipped into her savings and built her own brand.
What started as a fit problem became something more personal. Designing for faces like hers, she realized — we don't just deserve better-fitting glasses. We deserve a brand built around us. Not as an afterthought.
XING (星) is the Chinese name the orphanage gave her. It means star.
Their debut style is called the Orphan (孤儿). It fits — in more ways than one.
Today, XING is based in Vancouver — and coming to a city near you.
